AI at FSU: New Faculty Guidelines & Training

Florida State University continues to pursue innovation in artificial intelligence to shape the future of teaching and learning across campus. The AI@FSU website is a central resource designed to support the FSU community in the effective and ethical use of AI technologies for teaching, learning, research, and workflow. You’ll find faculty guidelines for using AI, a showcase of AI research, and free AI literacy training for faculty, staff, and students.

 

 

AI Guidelines for Faculty

The FSU Artificial Intelligence in Education Advisory Committee (AIEAC) developed guidelines to support faculty navigating the use of AI technologies in the higher education environment. The guidelines address AI literacy, data privacy, academic integrity, access to tools, and AI use in teaching. The AIEAC is currently meeting to develop student guidelines.

The website showcases the AI research of faculty and students with profiles and highlights of AI-related projects. You’ll find a listing of the research areas, publications, and presentations of your peers, which can enhance awareness and inspire collaboration. You can also submit your research to be featured on the site.

AI Training for Faculty & Staff

FSU offers free professional education courses in AI literacy and the integration of AI in higher education. The self-paced training includes specialized modules for university leaders, faculty, and administrators. The university covers the full cost of training, so please disregard any pricing listed on the training website.

If you’re an instructor, encourage your students to complete the free AI literacy course. The self-paced training offers a foundational knowledge of AI, including how to develop effective prompts, evaluate AI output, and leverage AI skills for the workforce.
