Request Summer, Fall Testing Services

  • Banner that reads "Florida State University Testing Center"

The window for instructors to request proctored testing services for Summer and Fall 2026 course exams is now open. To ensure we can accommodate your request, submit it by the priority consideration deadline of May 5. Requests are welcome after this date but will be subject to availability and approved on a first-come, first-served basis.

To submit a request, visit the Requesting Services page. You’re encouraged to review the updated service policies and guidelines on this page prior to submitting your testing services request.

Online Proctoring

SmarterProctoring Live, an online proctoring provider that employs human proctors to monitor and record exam sessions in real time, replaced the Honorlock Live Pop-In service on May 1. If you have not yet made the switch to SmarterProctoring, visit the Online Proctoring Services page to learn more about the provider and how to enable it in your course. You can also register for a 30-minute virtual training on May 6 or May 8.

In-Class Testing

Akindi and the Respondus Lockdown Browser are available to support instructors administering exams in the classroom. Akindi, which replaced Scantron services last fall, enables instructors to print and scan multiple-choice tests and surveys from their home or office. The Respondus Lockdown Browser helps mitigate cheating during exams by preventing students from accessing applications or websites outside the Canvas learning management system. Visit the Academic Integrity Tools in Canvas page to learn more about Akindi and Respondus.

If you have questions about testing, visit the FSU Testing Center on the web, email testing@fsu.edu, or call 850-644-3017.
