Request Testing Services for Spring
Priority Consideration Deadline
NOVEMBER 15Request Deadline*
DECEMBER 13
The window for instructors to request proctored testing for Spring 2027 course exams is open. The Office of Digital Learning serves instructors with exam proctoring at the main campus Testing Center or through an off-campus or online provider. Due to increased demand for services, submitting requests early is especially important for online and high-enrollment (100 or more students) face-to-face courses. For priority scheduling, please submit a service request no later than November 15. All spring service requests should be submitted no later than December 13.*
How to Request Services
Follow the steps below to request services. Requests must be approved before students can register for appointments.
- Review eligibility requirements prior to submitting a request. Not all courses and exams are eligible for all services. Online proctoring via SmarterProctoring Live is available only for high-stakes exams (exams worth 15% or more of the course grade) in distance learning courses.
- Copy the latest proctored testing instructions and fee disclosure to your course syllabus. Before we can approve a request for an online course, a fee disclosure must be included in the syllabus distributed on the first day of class.
- Review and follow our exam preparation procedures. Exam content must be finalized and ready for review in Canvas 14 days before the exam start date.
To submit a request, visit the Requesting Services page.
*NOTE ABOUT REQUEST DEADLINES & SERVICE CAPACITY: Due to increased demand, all service requests should be submitted no later than December 13. Make sure all high-stakes exams are included in your service request and be prepared to adjust exam dates and durations if necessary. Requests for in-person courses with fewer than 100 enrollments will be reviewed after the priority consideration deadline.
Tools for In-Class Testing
To help you secure in-class exams, the Respondus Lockdown Browser and the Akindi web-based form scanning tool are available – no request process needed. See Academic Integrity Tools in Canvas to learn more.
