AI Literacy Training for FSU Community

To support the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning, FSU offers professional education courses in AI literacy and the integration of AI in higher education. The courses, which are free for all FSU faculty, staff, and students, are offered through a partnership with the Digital Education Council, a global community of practice for education innovation.
Faculty & Staff Training
In this 20-hour, self-paced course, faculty and staff will gain the knowledge and skills to incorporate AI effectively in their teaching and day-to-day work. The course includes specialized modules for university leaders, faculty, and administrators. Participants who complete the training will receive the DEC Certificate in AI for Higher Education and a badge that can be shared on social media.

- Leverage AI to enhance productivity and outcomes
- Foster the responsible and ethical adoption of AI
You'll access the course using your FSU credentials. In addition to the higher education training, you'll have access to the student course so you can see what your students are learning.

Student Training
To help your students become responsible stewards of AI, inform them of the AI Literacy for All course by adding a link to your syllabus or in a Canvas announcement. The four-hour, self-paced training provides students with a foundational knowledge of AI, including how to develop effective prompts, evaluate AI output, and leverage AI skills for the workforce. Students who complete the course will receive DEC's AI Literacy for All digital certificate and a badge that can be shared on social media.
