Calling All Instructional Designers

Instructional designers at FSU are invited to participate in the new Instructional Design Community of Practice, part of the Communities of Practice initiative sponsored by Information Technology Services (ITS). Communities of practice aim to foster a collaborative and innovative environment among university staff members with shared interests.

The community reaches out to not only instructional designers in academic departments but also in information technology, employee training and human resources, and student support services.

“I’m constantly amazed at the amount of hidden design talent we have at all levels of the university from academic departments to human resources,” said Liying Miao, Community of Practice cochair and instructional development faculty at the Office of Digital Learning. “It’s a great time to get together to take advantage of all that knowledge.”
