Instructional Development Faculty

As assistant director, Annette guides the various activities of the instructional development faculty, from high-impact course development funding to our online quality initiative. She has assisted numerous faculty in the design of new and revised online courses since joining ODL in 2004. In partnership with the College of Law, she managed the development of the inaugural online Juris Master program. She established FSU's process for assessing quality in courses through the Quality Matters rubric.

Early in her tenure, Annette was part of ODL's Center for Teaching and Learning, where she managed teaching enhancement and faculty development functions. The center produced Instruction at FSU: A Guide to Teaching and Learning Practices, which encompasses effective teaching models and strategies. Annette has developed and delivered workshops on course quality and the online course development process. She received her doctoral degree in Adult Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
